The City of Abbotsford Common Council voted to put off the Main Street project until 2029 at its meeting on Monday, June 3 in favor of pushing up the Fifth Street project timeline. Alderman Kevin Flink said Fifth Street is one freeze and thaw away from falling apart and it should be the city’s priority to get that street done.

On April 29 (Lublin native) Helene Posca celebrated her 100th birthday.
The city of Thorp welcomed two new businesses to the area with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 28, That’s The Point Acupuncture and Mindful Massage and Reiki recently joined Whispering Wing Reiki and Massage at its location at 103 E. School Street in Thorp.

Ron Haas will be the Grand Marshal of the Stanley Rodeo Days Parade on Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m.
Winger Construction just hosted a ribbon cutting on its new building this past Saturday. Located at 1418 Pine Street in Stanley’s East Business Park, the new building and showroom represents the culmination of a dream that the Wingers have had for some time.
With fundraising campaign total (for the D.R. Moon Library) now standing at a half million for the $4.2 million project, presenters said that many private fund donors were looking to see more city buy-in before they committed funds of their own to the library addition and renovation.
