At the latest Loyal Common Council meeting June 18, the council considered and voted on a range of issues. Rueth will be a freshman in high school this fall and would like to raise chickens for his supervised agricultural experience (SAE). The council decided to refer the chicken discussion to the police and fire commission, and to invite Rueth to attend the next meeting if he would like.

She felt it would have been beneficial for the school to hold a community forum for the public to learn about and ask questions of the principal candidates. As it turned out, the board didn’t end up making a decision that night and referred the hiring decision back to the interview committee, which includes two board members, four staff members and two administrators.
