O-W School District late summer school prepares students for the school year

On August 26-29, Owen-Withee School District offered a late summer school opportunity for students. These four days helped kids get back into the swing of the school schedule but with a much more laid-back atmosphere. During the week kids were treated to some fun outings. Mr. Ovyn and Ms. Kadolph organized a trip to Ovyn Lake for the morning of August 19. Mrs. Van Ark and staff organized a park day for grades K-5. The students and staff walked to the Withee Lion’s Park and Pavilions for games and a picnic lunch. An impromptu movie day was held in the elementary school gym to replace a rained-out afternoon recess.

This “pre” school summer school was well attended and prepared especially new preschoolers for their first day on school on September 3.
