Dan Oslzewski, Owen-Withee High School Alumnus, will accept the “Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education” award on November 13 at the Wisconsin Early-Stage Symposium. This award also known as the “Triple E” award, was created by the Wisconsin Technology Council to show the importance of teaching and mentoring entrepreneurs. According to the Wisconsin Technology Council, he was chosen based on the following criteria:
Olszewski is a capstone Entrepreneurship WAVE course instructor and was one of the co-founders of the Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp program for UW-Madison graduate students. He was previously CEO and chairman of Parts Now!, and during this time revenues increased from $26 million to over $400 million through the company’s growth and its acquisition.
His widespread experience included consulting at McKinsey and Co., which focused on strategy, technology and finance. Olszewski also worked for IBM, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance in Tokyo. He serves on the board of First Business Bank and National Guardian Life Insurance Co.
Olszewski graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor's degree in economics and computer science and earned a master’s in business administration from Harvard University. Frank and Louise Olszewski, Withee, are his proud parents.
