Owen’s Main Street Car Show is fast approaching and with that in mind, the Downtown Revitalization Committee (DRC) added classes for this year’s show. The newest Factory or Restored cars have been split into two classes: 1991-2003 and 2004-Present. Truck classes have also been split. Trucks can now be entered as 1900-1959, 1960-1972, 1973-1990, and 1991-Present. A new class has also been added for Vans. If there is enough interest, they are considering adding a Specialty Class for 2025.
Vendors are expected back this year. They will be in Fremont Park along with the Farmers Market. In addition, the local libraries are planning some activities for the kids.
Help is still needed with watering the hanging baskets and weeding flower beds. If you are interested, please contact Cindy Cardinal at 715-503-5231.
The DRC has plans to work with Owen Public Works on updating the Welcome to Owen sign near the intersection of Highway 29 and Fairground Avenue. The work will hopefully be completed before the snow flies.
