Looking back to 2024, one more time, I pause to remember names of those Owen–Withee connected people who died during 2024. This special list of people almost made it to the century mark (100 years) of life. Some I knew personally; all I knew by name. All were born before World War II, and all were born during the Great Depression era. An elite group of people. Maybe you knew some of them.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Owen–Withee readers. Thank you for sharing memories. Wishing you all the best to you and your families in the year ahead. As always please feel free to reach out to me via email at ahodnett@aol.com or via Messenger on the Owen–Withee Facebook group or the Owen-Withee Area Historical Society Facebook page. I hear from many of you from time to time, and sometimes I see you in person during my infrequent trips to our native Owen–Withee in Wisconsin.
