On Saturday February 21, the Owen-Withee Music Department attended the annual District Solo & Ensemble Festival at Greenwood High School. Students performed music to the best of their ability to receive a rating from the judges. To receive a solo/ensemble medal, a student must perform a solo or participate in an ensemble before an adjudicator. There are three different classes, A, B, and C, with A being the most difficult. If a student performs a Class A solo or ensemble and receives a *1 rating, they automatically qualify for state solo/ensemble. This year’s state festival will be held on May 2 at UW Eau Claire.
