Prevail Bank recently distributed 20 charitable contribution checks totaling $47,000 to support community programs across central Wisconsin. The City of Owen was one; it received $5,000 in support of the City’s plans to refurbish and improve a three-mile bike path. Tracy Rau, City Clerk and Mayor Scott Jalling accepted the check presented by Prevail Bank professionals.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Nathan Quinnell, President and CEO of Prevail Bank. “As a community bank, our mission goes beyond banking—we’re committed to making a difference and helping our communities thrive.”
Other nonprofits that received funding include: Wausau’s Free Clinic, Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity (Stevens Point), Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. (WWBIC) to assist low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs in Clark, Price, Taylor, Marathon, Portage, Sauk, and Wood Counties, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5729 (Medford), the School District of Baraboo in support of its literacy initiative, Hope Hospice & Palliative Care (Medford), Blessings in a Backpack (Wausau), Altrusa International of Marshfield, Eau Claire Sober Living, Junior Achievement Northwest Chapter (Eau Claire), Operation Horses Heal (Westboro), Rescued & Redeemed (Eau Claire) to assist sex-trafficked survivors, Bannach Elementary School (Stevens Point), Blake Matthew Mindful Memorial Foundation (Reedsburg) in support of mental health service vouchers, Central Wisconsin Catch-A-Ride (Marshfield), Pathway Home of South Central Wisconsin (Baraboo) for motel vouchers supporting homeless individuals, Stepping Stones (Medford), Sleep in Heavenly Peace (Portage) to help build and deliver beds for children, and Ruby’s Pantry in Wisconsin Rapids.
