With the temperature in the 60s, the air clear with a slight breeze, 12 enthusiastic golfers reported to the Meadowview Golf Course for the 22nd weekly Golf Fun League. The well-maintained golf course had dew on the greens and fairways but the course being in excellent condition the teams were able to shoot low scores. The game format was the standard Scramble with a twist. In this Scramble format the best shot is selected except for the second shot in which the worst shot has to be used. The three teams reported to the clubhouse with scores of 39, 40 and 41. The winning team shooting the 39 consisted of Scott Jalling, Rick Raatz, LeRoy Wellman and Richard Wachsmuth. Hole prizes were won by LeRoy Wellman, closest to the pin on hole #2 and Rick Raatz, longest putt on hole #9. The Fun League is a weekly event held at Meadowview Golf Course during the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, a different version of the Scramble format is played, ensuring that everyone gets a fresh and exciting experience.
