As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Marshfield, $1,329 was raised for the Personal Development Center (PDC) of Marshfield, supporting survivors of domestic abuse and assault throughout the area.
Prevail Bank pledged $1, up to $1,000, for every pound of paper brought to be shredded; and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 3,238 pounds of paper to be safely destroyed and recycled. The public chipped in an additional $329 in donations, bringing the total gift to $1,329.
Renee Schultz, PDC Executive Director accepted the big check from Lana Peterson, Mortgage Loan Originator and Tammy Schueller, Prevail Bank Branch Manager.
“This event was a win-win,” said Schueller. “We helped people protect their personal information while supporting a cause that makes a real difference right here in our community.”
Prevail Bank is a community bank that is continuously looking for ways to give back, support those pursuing dreams, and make things better in central Wisconsin.
