On Saturday, December 7, 2024, St. Katherine's Episcopal Church hosted their 23rd annual Cookie Walk. Festive tables crowned with oodles of cookies sold by the pound filled the hall as has been the tradition for the past two decades. Pictures and clippings displayed in the festive “cookie” hall showed walks of Christmas past. Advertising for the first event featured Miss Piggy and read “Are you ready for a real cookie? Come pig out on our heavenly baking.” This warm, comical poster really depicts the fun and joviality of the folks baking and serving up the wide variety of Christmas cookies.
Locals look forward to taking a trip up and down the cookie tables the first Saturday in December to get in the holiday spirit and perhaps help them with Christmas preparations.
