Warmer and less windy than previous years, the 24th Annual Miller Dam Lake Ice Fishing Contest Saturday, Jan. 31 saw strong turnout, shacks dotting the lake as on the south shore the catch came in to be weighed and posted.
Hoisted by the Miller Dam Lake Association at the enclosed pavilion on the south end of the lake and made possible with help from community minded sponsors, the contest saw numerous winners Saturday at Miller Dam Lake, with raffle prizes including several cash raffles worth thousands of dollars, as well as a Stevens 3344 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt Rifle, G Force 12 Gauge Shotgun, and Ruger 10-22.
