The Blackhawks, playing the sixth straight game in a row at home, continued their winning streak on Monday in their rivalry non-conference game against the Thorp Cardinals. The Blackhawks used some solid defense along with some hot shooting in the second half to get the 64-21 win.
Jack Wendler scored the first basket of the game from a post feed from Dominic Sherwood and Sherwood later joined him in the scoring column with a rebound putback for the quick 4-0 lead. Winston Poehler earned a pair of hoops on a rebound and a backdoor cut feed from Mason Gay. Gay later would feed the ball head to a streaking Brett Baehr for a well executed fastbreak lay-in. With a 20-2 lead, Baehr connected with Wendler inside for two, as the Hawks built a 29-4 lead at the half.
The Blackhawks came out at the half and scored on 8 out of 10 possessions, many hoops from the outside. Gay, Fritz, and Wells all hit from deep in the half as the Hawks continued to score throughout the half. The Blackhawks also got hoops from Sherwood on a jumper, Wells on a steal and lay-in, and Talon Muller on an offensive rebound. Colton Paczkowski hit Preston Fritz on a back door cut for a hoop to finish the scoring and the 64-21 win, keeping the Can at Owen-Withee.
The Blackhawks shot 22-37 (60%) from two-point range, out rebounded Thorp 38-32 and finished the game with 20 steals and only 8 turnovers.

Coach's Comments
We responded well with the way we played and kept our aggressiveness on both ends. We finished with 20 steals as we anticipated well and also finished under the basket. We played a well rounded game and executed on the offensive end.
