The Owen-Withee Blackhawks hosted a four team scrimmage last Saturday in preparation for the upcoming home opener against Prairie Farm this Friday evening. The Hawks were able to get some much needed repetitions against someone other than themselves as they lined up against Laona-Wabeno, Chequamagon/Butternut/Mercer, and Tri-County. It was a good test for the players, forcing them to recognize alignments, formations, and schemes without having the opportunity of a scouting report or game plan. As coaches it was great to see our players adapt to the speed of the game and use the scrimmage as a measuring stick to see where we are at fundamentally and identifying those areas that need improvement. The Blackhawks invite everyone to come out and get your first look at the 2024 Blackhawk Football team this Friday night!  Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m.
