The Blackhawks were very efficient in the first half and took over the game early against the visiting Greenwood Indians, which in turn produced a lopsided victory for the Blackhawks by a 71-25 final score.
The Blackhawks used their defensive pressure to help with their offense and jumped to an early 9-2 lead. Dominic Sherwood, Winston Poehler, and Jack Wendler all scored inside hoops right away to give them a 9-2 advantage. A pair of hoops by Colin Fritz added to the lead. The Blackhawks scored on 19 of 23 possessions after that. Sherwood would score 13 in the half, with Mason Gay adding 15, as they attacked the rim and got inside hoops from Fritz, Wendler and Poehler. The Hawks went into the locker room at the half with a 49-7 lead.
Many Blackhawk players got to execute the game plan in the second half as Sam Wells hit a pair of free throws and then added on a deep three. Preston Fritz fed Brett Baehr for a nice inside hoop and then Wells from fellow back court mate, Colton Paczkowski for a long three. Another Wells three was later followed by a Preston Fritz three, which led to the final score of 71-25.
The Blackhawks finished with 24 steals and 36 points in the paint.

Coach's Comments
We came out and were very efficient and focused on getting some work in on defense and on offense. I liked the way we ran our offense and our plays as it gave us a chance to work on those important things and executing them.
