March 30, the Owen-Withee FBLA chapter traveled to Green Bay for the State Leadership Conference to compete and to attend workshops. The group was able to compete on Monday in Prelims and take their objective tests. There were 21 kids that competed and two that attended the Leadership Academy to expand their leadership skills. Monday night we found out who made the finals. The next morning those that made the finals were able to compete on their finals competition. Later that afternoon, we found out who made it into the top five.
Congrats to those who place and are heading to the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA.
4th place: Mason Gay in Local Chapter Annual Business Report and Angela Baures, Sam Stephens, Kendall Weiler, and Mathew Wilson in Parliamentary Procedure.
3rd place: Colton Paczkowski in Electronic Career Portfolio
2nd place: Mason Gay in Future Business Leader and Jack Wendler in Business Plan
1st place: Jack Wendler and Mathew Wilson in Partnership with Business
Additionally, Owen-Withee won 2nd place in the Outstanding Small School Chapter Award & Market Share Award, Mr. Green won the Local Outstanding Advisor Award and Julie Kodl won the Wisconsin Business Person of the Year Award.
