The Hastings Raiders girls golf team continued their strong Spring season by tying Mahtomedi for first place, with both teams finishing at 186 (+42) on Apr. 22 at Hidden Greens. They once again battled hard on Apr. 24 at Highland National Golf Course, the normal site of the Section meet, but finished second to Two Rivers, shooting a 194 (+50) to the Warriors' winning score of 177 (+33).
Versus Mahtomedi
The two teams tied at 186 (+42) at the Raiders home course, Hidden Greens.
Senior Claire Stoffel led the Raiders with a second-place individual finish, shooting a 45 (+9) on the day. Sophomores Harmon Brown and Courtney Pine both turned in solid rounds, each carding a 46 (+10) to tie for fourth place. Senior Madison Haines was close behind, finishing seventh with a 49 (+13). Junior Haylee Newton added a 53 (+17) to the team total, and junior Lauren Judge completed the lineup with a 57 (+21).
The Raiders showed strong consistency throughout the lineup, helping secure the tie at the top of a competitive field.
Versus Two Rivers
The girls fought hard but fell 194 (+50) to the Warriors 177 (+33) at Highland National in St. Paul/
Sophomore Harmon Brown led the way for Hastings, carding a 46 (+10) to place third individually. Senior Madison Haines followed closely, finishing fourth with a 47 (+11), while senior Claire Stoffel turned in a 49 (+13) to place seventh. Junior Lauren Judge shot a 52 (+16) to secure an eighth-place finish, and freshman Bently Brown added a 56 (+20) for the Raiders. Freshman Anika Johnson completed the team scoring with a 60 (+24).
Despite coming up short, the Raiders showed strong depth across their lineup, with five players finishing among the top 12.

The girls head to Southview Country Club in Inver Grove Heights to take on South St. Paul with a noon start on May 1. May 6, they take another trip up Highway 52 to Inver Grove this time they play Inverwood Golf Course at 3:00 p.m. May 7 is a trip to Loggers Trail for a conference meet that is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. May 9 completes next week with a trip to Emerald Greens for a multi team invite at 10:00 a.m.
