The weather forecast for the Tuesday Fun League predicted rain but the day started out cloudy, mid 60s but a slight chance of rain. Again, teams went out to play what is known as Scramble golf. This popular format involves players taking turns hitting shots, selecting the best one for the next shot until the hole is completed. This is a fun format for golfers of all skill levels. With the course conditions being in fine condition, all teams shot extremely well with numerous birdies recorded. The winning team, shooting 5 under par consisted of captain Mark Schmidt partnering with Dale Raatz, John Boss and Richard Wachsmuth. The three evenly matched teams scored 31, 32 and 33. Hole prizes were won by Kert Boie, longest putt on hole #9 and Scott Strzok being closest to the pin off the tee on hole #2. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the summer. Show up early, no later than 9:30 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
