The day was overcast with threatening rain, temperatures in the low 50s. A slight drizzle was in the air and the forecast was for little to no change throughout the morning. But nine diehard golfers showed up to brave the elements and compete against their fellow buddies and friends. Three teams, three members each were selected and dispersed around the golf course to play using the Scramble format. This is a fun format for golfers of all skill levels. With the course being in fine condition, all teams shot extremely well. The winning team, shooting 2 under par consisted of captain Mark Schmidt partnering with LeRoy Wellman and Rick Raatz. Scores of each team were 34, 35 and 37. Hole prizes were won by Jerry Hester, longest putt on hole #9 and LeRoy Wellman being closest to the pin off the tee on hole #2. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the summer. Show up early, no later than 9:30 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
