The day started out partly cloudy with the sun peeking through periodically. The temperature was in the 60s, wind calm and a slight threat for rain. The fairways at Meadowview Golf Course were slightly damp as 12 golfers showed up for the weekly Fun League. Six 2 person teams were formed using a card draw. It was decided to use the Ryder Cup game format. In this format players use the Scramble format on golf holes 1-3, the best score on holes 4-6 and an alternate shot format on golf holes 7-9. Team scores upon completion of the round ranged from 40 to 44. Team members on the winning team were Wade Hatlestad and John Boss. The team of Kert Boie and Richard Wachsmuth placed second while Jerry Hester and Dylan Bogseth placed third. Dennis Kieser was closest to the pin on hole #2, and Dennis Wilson made the longest putt on hole #9. The Fun League is held every Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course during the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, we play a different version of the Scramble format, so everyone gets a fresh and exciting experience. Please get there early, by 9:30 a.m., to sign up and get assigned to a team. Tee-off is at 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a relaxed round of golf that’s sure to be fun and rewarding.
