The day was hot and the golf course was extremely wet from rain squalls of previous days. But 10 determined golfers showed up, paid their $2 fee and dealt with wet fairways and humid conditions. Team captains Daren Underdahl, Kent Boie and Dennis Wilson were chosen and by drawing cards, three matched teams were formed. This week, the best ball format was used where the best shot is chosen as the teams play each hole. The winning team shot 3 below par, 33 with the other teams also scoring well. The winning team consisted of captain Daren Underdahl and teammates Dale Raatz and Dennis Kieser. Closest to the pin awards on holes 2 and 6 went to Ev Rhyner and Buck Michlig. Dennis Kieser won the longest putt contest on the 9th hole. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer. If interested, show up before or by 9:45 for check in.
