Another beautiful day at the golf course with clear skies, calm wind and temperatures pushing 80 degrees. 13 staunch golfers showed up and paid their $2 fee to compete for 1st place. Team captains Mark Schmidt, LeRoy Wellman, Dennis Wilson and Dale Raatz were chosen and by drawing cards, four matched teams were formed. The best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. The winning team shot an extraordinary 6 below par, 30 with the other teams also scoring well. The winning team consisted of captain Mark Schmidt and teammates Rick Raatz and Jack Wendler. Closest to the pin awards on holes 2 and 6 went to Mark Schmidt with Dennis Kieser sinking the longest putt on hole 9. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer.
