Golfing in the fall before a hard frost can be the best when the air is crisp and the fairways provide for the ball to roll for extra distance. On this Tuesday, seven hearty golfers showed up and waited for dew to leave the fairways and greens before heading out to compete. After fees were paid, two teams were formed with captains Dale Raatz and Dennis Wilson leading the way. The drawing of cards to form the teams resulted in Team 1 to consist of Dale, Carol and Rick Raatz. The best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. The Raatz team ended up winning the competition by 2 strokes as they shot a 2 under score of 34. The best Team 2 could do was to shoot an even par, 36. Longest putt awards on holes 4 and 9 went to Dennis Kieser and Dennis Wilson. The Fun League is held every Tuesday until weather and golf course conditions restrict play. If interested, show up before or by 10:45 for check-in as teams will tee off by 11:00 a.m.
