On the eve of Halloween when you might expect low temperatures and windy conditions, eight staunch golfers showed up for the final Tuesday Golf Fun League at Meadowview Golf Course. Temperatures were in the 70s, a bit cloudy but nice. The course was dry, golfing conditions being excellent with greens having golf balls running fast, making putts hard to come by. Carol Raatz and Sandy Larson took on the role of team captains. By the drawing of cards, other team members of the two teams were formed. The best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. Carol Raatz’s team consisting of Carol Raatz, Buck Michlig, Jerry Hester and Kert Boie shot a 33 to win by 3 strokes. Longest putt awards on holes 4 and 9 went to Putting Queen Carol Raatz on Hole 4 and Dale Raatz on Hole 9. This should complete the golfing for the summer but will start up again next summer, early in May.
