The day started crisp, clear and sunny. Temperatures in the low 50s brought 10 golfers out to Meadowview Golf Course for the weekly Fun League. Golfing attire changed from shorts to long slacks, tee shirts to sweat shirts. Three teams were formed, One with 4 members and two with 3. This week’s game format was a scramble where all members of a team hit their shot and choose the best shot to play as they advanced toward the green. Three captains, Kevin Kaduce, Dennis Wilson and Rick Raatz were selected to head up their respective teams. Remaining team members were selected by drawing cards. This week’s scoring was again very close with teams reporting in with 38. 36 and 34 with 36 being par. The winning team, shooting 2 under par 34 consisted of captain Rick Raatz teaming up with Dennis Kieser and Carol Raatz. Hole prizes were won by Bob Arimura, longest putt on hole #9 and Rick Raatz being closest to the pin off the tee on hole #2. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the summer. Show up early, no later than 9:30 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
