The weather forecast predicted a chance for rain. The day was cloudy and chilly with a slight breeze as five hearty golfers showed up at the Meadowview Golf Course for the 23rd week of the Tuesday Fun League. A sprinkling of rain began as the five golfers headed to the first tee and picked up later in the round. Teams this week were Kert and Dennis (youngest and oldest) challenging Dennis, Rick and Richard. The game format was a scramble where all members of a team hit their shot and choose the best shot to play as they advanced toward the green. Dennis, Rick and Richard started strong with birdies on the first two holes. But Kert and Dennis playing consistent golf ended up with a well-deserved win by shooting 3 under par 33. Rich Raatz won the hole prize by hitting his drive within 18 on hole #2. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the spring, summer and fall. Show up early, no later than 9:30 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
