Golf Fun League Week 4

A lovely morning with temperatures starting in the 70s and slowly climbing to the mid-80s welcomed 21 eager golfers to Meadowview Golf Course for the weekly Tuesday Fun League. The course was in fantastic shape, both on the fairways and greens. Golfers were divided into five teams through a card draw, with team captains Dennis Kieser, Mark Schmidt, Scott Strzok, Alex Tyznik, and Kert Boie leading the way. Each team played a Scramble format, where each player tees off, and the team chooses the best shot to play for their next stroke. This continues until the ball is holed. As always, the team scores at the end of the round were very close, with scores of 34, 34, 34, 32, and 31. The team with the lowest score, a 5 under par 31, was Dennis Kieser, Shaw Atchley, Lyndsey Tyznik, and Brent Mathison. Hole prizes went to Lyndsey Tyznik, who was closest to the pin on hole #2, and Ev Rhyner, who made the longest putt on hole #9. The Fun League is held every Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course during the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, we play a different version of the Scramble format, so everyone gets a fresh and exciting experience. Please arrive early, by 9:30 a.m., to sign up and be assigned to a team. Tee-off is set for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a relaxed round of golf that’s sure to be fun and rewarding.
