The Owen-Withee Varsity Volleyball team took a hard loss against Columbus Catholic on Tuesday, September 17. In the first set, they had a rough start creating a gap with the Dons. They eventually started to make their way back up but the hole that they created was just too big and they fell to the Dons 16-24.
In the second set, the Blackhawks had high hopes of a comeback. Unfortunately, they simply couldn’t pull together. They ended the second set 11-25. The pressure was on in the third set. They could either pull through and try and push to five sets or fall in three and end the night on a challenging loss. The Hawks started out and struggled to come together as a team. The third set closed with a score of 25-12. The night didn’t end how they wanted it to. Luckily, this is just the start of a season that they can change the outcome of.
