On February 19, the Hawks hosted the Gilman Pirates and won 63-33. The Blackhawks got out to a great start, trapping the Pirates all over the court. The Blackhawks also shot well against their zone defense with Isaiah Pyrchalla having the hot hand scoring 21 points in the first half knocking down 5 three-pointers. Easton Ruggles also hit a pair of threes and Orion Wilczek hit one. The Hawks led 45-9 at the half.
Coming out the second half, the Blackhawks cooled off a bit but still worked the ball well on offense getting good shots. Our man defense played well as the Pirates had to work hard for everything they got. Our rebounding was huge as all the guys really hit the boards. It was a nice home win.
