The Hawks hosted the Augusta Beavers on December 2 and lost a tough one 60-47. Augusta shot well early to pull away from the Hawks. Down by 12, the Blackhawks would cut it to 8 points, but still trailed 35-19 at the half. The Hawks' struggles were at the FT line hitting on only 1 of 10, as Easton Ruggles scored 8 points to lead the team.
The second half, the Hawks trapped the Beavers hard and continued to get turnovers cutting the lead to 10 points with five minutes to play. Austin Yeager's 3 threes and 11 points helped pace the Blackhawks in the half. Tegan Treankler scored 8 points. Our rebounding helped get some second chance points in the paint. A few too many turnovers came back to haunt the Hawks.
