The JV Blackhawks hosted the Colby Hornets January 22 and lost 52-27. The Hawks had a tough first half scoring only 10 points, struggling to finish shots in the paint. Some turnovers hurt us but we stayed aggressive against their zone defense. The Blackhawks trailed 33-10 at the half.
The second half we came out and handled their pressure better. We also hit some outside shots with Easton Ruggles hitting 3 three-pointers and Nolan Peterson one. We just couldn't get enough of our inside shots to fall. We rebounded okay and kept working hard but we just have to keep improving.
Box Score: (27) Ruggles 9, Dallman 6, Peterson 5, Yeager 3, Dambeck 2, Sanchez 2; 3PT: (5) Ruggles 3, Peterson 1, Yeager 1; FT: 5-11 (45%).
