Owen-Withee and Thorp are co-oping for wrestling this season. Unfortunately, due to low numbers (just four wrestlers- two from Thorp, two from Owen-Withee), the team will forfeit too many weight classes to enjoy any team success this season. However, the individual wrestlers still have an opportunity to compete and win. The team will be very young, with only sophomore heavyweight Jordon Wulff returning from last year’s team. One new wrestler of note is freshman Evan Penterman, who won two matches at the youth state tournament last season as an eighth grader. Another item to note is that Owen-Withee will be hosting a home dual or triangular meet this year, giving community members an opportunity to come out and support the wrestlers.
