O-W Cross Country Team running strong

Posted

On Saturday, August 31 the Owen-Withee Cross Country middle and high school teams traveled to the Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield for their first Cross Country meet of the year. Under the direction of their new coach, Mr. Lewison, they were prepared. Many athletes ran a great time for the first meet of the year. Colton Paczkowski ran a time of 17:33.7 which was good enough to get himself 9th overall and 2nd in the small school division.  Adelynn Petersen ran a 25:15.6 which was good enough to get 14th in the small school division. not bad for her first-ever high school race. At the middle school level, Evelyn Goessl ran an impressive time of 14:30.5 which secured her 1st place for both the big and small school divisions.

It was a little chilly out last Saturday morning, September 7, when the Owen-Withee Cross Country Team headed over to Loyal for their Cross Country Invitational. This was a great second meet for the team. Evelyn Goessl took first in the middle school girl's race once again. Colton Paczkowski looking to do the same, came close with a second-place finish to Issiac Shear of Columbus Catholic. However, he did PR with a time of 17:28.
