January 3, the Owen-Withee girls’ basketball team hosted Edgar at home for another non-conference matchup. The Hawks battled it out against the Wildcats from start to finish. Right from the beginning of the game, the ladies had the game in the bag. By halftime, they were already up by 10 points with a score of 24-14. Even though they were up, they knew that there could be no let down. They battled through the second half and picked up point after point, both in the paint and outside. They only outscored the Wildcats by five points in the second half but their lead from the first half helped them out. The girls proved themselves once again and picked up the win for the night. The final score was Owen-Withee 49, Edgar 34.
