O-W Trackhawk Boys Team Regional Champs

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Owen-Withee Track & Field Team took a trip over to Gilman for the Regional Track & Field Meet. At this meet, athletes needed to place within the top four competitors to move on to the Sectional track meet later in the week on Friday at Colby. With 13 different schools competing at this meet, there was a lot of tough competition for the Trackhawks to go up against. The entire team performed extremely well and performed many personal bests at the meet! Below are the individuals and relays that have made it on to Sectionals.
For the Girls team, Madi Mueller placed 3rd in the 800 Meter Run; Adelynn Peterson placed 4th in the Mile Run; Cassidy Graski placed 2nd in the 100 Meter Hurdles and 3rd in the 300 Meter Hurdles; Kendall Weiler placed 1st in the 300 Meter Hurdles; a team of Kendall Weiler, Lydia Lobacz, Jozlin Severeid, and Kayla Rasmussen placed 2nd in the 4X100 Meter Relay; the team of Kendall Weiler, Kayla Rasmussen, Madi Mueller, and Cassidy Graski placed 1st in the 4X400 Meter Relay; the team of Molly Nowolbielski, Leah Simenson, Adelynn Petersen, and Tegan Hatlestad placed 2nd in the 4X800 Meter Relay.
For the Boys team, Brandon Geldernick placed 1st in both the 100 Meter and 200 Meter Dash; Colton Paczkowski placed 1st in the 800 Meter Run; Steven Negron placed 3rd in both the Mile and 2 Mile runs; Dominic Sherwood placed 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles; Mason Gay placed 1st in the 300 Meter Hurdles; Sully Poehler placed 3rd in the Discus; the team of Mason Gay, Colton Paczkowski, Domonic Sherwood, and Brandon Geldernick placed 1st in the 4X400 Meter Relay; the team of Mason Gay, Colton Paczkowski, Sam Wells, and Talon Mueller placed 1st in the 4X800 Meter Relay.
At the end of the night the Owen-Withee Girls team scored an impressive total of 97 points, placing them 2nd overall for the meet. The Boys team scored a total of 108 points, placing them as 1st overall, giving the boys team their first Regional title since 2002! The Owen-Withee Track and Field Team ended the night with 11 girls and 8 boys qualifying for the Sectional Meet in Colby on Friday, May 30. Congratulations to all the athletes on their success at the Regional track meet!
