The 2026 track and field season has certainly flown by! From hot to cold to rainy to dry, we’ve competed in all sorts of different weather. Our athletes had a very impressive showing at the conference meet in Colby with the girls taking 3rd and the boys taking 2nd overall. They followed up their success at conference with regionals at Colfax the following week. From there, only the top four finishers in each event move on to sectionals. The Trackhawks had another great meet. Brandon Geldernick moved on to sectionals in both the 100m and 200m dashes. Colton Paczkowski advanced in the 800m and 1600m runs. Leah Simenson moved on in both the 100m and 300m hurdles. Madi Mueller moved on in the pole vault. Adelynn Petersen advanced in the 1600m run. Both the boys and girls 4x400m and 4x800m relays moved on, as well. These qualifiers competed at a very competitive sectional meet in Marathon where only the top four finishers in each event make it to the state meet in La Crosse, and they represented Owen-Withee very well! This year, we were fortunate to qualify for the state meet in three events. Brandon Geldernick placed 2nd in the 200m dash, Colton Paczkowski placed 3rd in the 800m run, and the boys 4x400m relay comprised of Sam Wells, Talon Mueller, Colton Paczkowski, and Brandon Geldernick placed 4th. Full results for both the regional and sectional meets - as well as information about the upcoming state meet - can be found on the WIAA Tournaments page. Congratulations to the entire team on a great season, and good luck at state, Trackhawks!
