September 26, the Blackhawks volleyball team welcomed the Loyal Greyhounds for a conference matchup. The Greyhounds looked unstoppable in the first two sets winning 25-13 in the first and 25-18 in the second. The Blackhawks, however, were able to battle back and win in a close 25-23 third set. The Hawks were able to hold off a late surge by the Greyhounds to win the fourth set 27-25; forcing a fifth set.
In the fifth, Loyal got out to an early 13-7 lead over the Hawks, before the Hawks cut the lead down to 3. But it was too little, too late for the Blackhawks as they fell to the Greyhounds in five.
