Colby Senior Care (CSC) and Colby Community Library (CCL) are joining forces to bring two events to Colby’s west side neighborhood on Saturday, August 10.

Beginning at 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m., Vintage Wheels, Timeless Appeal show will begin at the Colby Senior Care parking lot at 510 West Wausau Street.  Vintage cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, and snowmobiles may register by calling 715-223-1612. Everyone is welcome to view the cars, and winners will be determined by the CSC residents.

At 4 p.m., the Colby Community Library’s Food Trucks open behind the library building at 505 West Spence. Lola’s Lunchbox (from Phillips), Hanuman Express (from Wausau), JoJo’s Sweets and Treats (from Medford), and the Coffee COOP (Colby) will be serving up great foods and beverages. Picnic tables are available. Cash only, please.

The vestibule of the library will be open for restrooms as well as access to the Penny Press machine. Visitors will be able to press souvenir pennies for a nominal fee or purchase CCL T-shirts and canvas bags.

The Fabulous Hellhounds, a four-member band including local musician Jeff Auberg, begin playing at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Seating is available in the amphitheater, but the audience is welcome to bring chairs and blankets. The concert is free, and all ages are welcome to attend.

The event is sponsored by Colby Senior Care, Friends of the Colby Community Library, and Thrivent Action Teams.
