The Owen Downtown Revitalization Committee is getting ready to host Autumnfest on Saturday, September 28. There will be a chili cook-off with prizes for the best chili according to the attendees. Pay $5, get a sample of each chili, and then a “bottomless” bowl of whichever is your favorite. There will also be an apple pie eating contest again this year, so get ready to put your hands behind your back and eat an entire pie hands free. Music will add to the afternoon’s festivities. There will also be an opportunity for youngsters to “find” a treasure.
In addition to an assortment of chili from mild to spicy, there will also be soda and water available for purchase. The final Farmers Market of the year will also be held on this Saturday.
