Both the Owen-Withee boys and girls track teams had impressive performances Friday at the Stanley-Boyd Open, as they earned second place finishes.
The Blackhawks were second to Stratford on the boys side, and the girls were runner-up to host Stanley-Boyd. Ten teams competed at the meet, the first real outdoor test of the season.
Here are the top five finishes for Owen-Withee:
Girls
•Kendall Weiler took fifth in the 100 meter dash.
•Kayla Rasmussen was fourth in the 200.
•Madi Mueller won the 800 meter run in 2:43.35.
•Cassidy Graski was second in the 100 meter hurles in 18.17.
•Kendall Weiler won the 300 meter hurdles in 49.83, and Leah Simenson and Cassidy Graski took fourth and fifth, respectively.
•The 4x100 relay team of Lydia Lobacz, Kayla Rasmussen, Jozlin Sevareid and Kendall Weiler took third.
•The 4x200 team took fifth: Cassidy Graski, Tegan Hatlestad, Lydia Lobacz and Leah Simenson.
•Tegan Hatlestad was third in the high jump.
•Madi Mueller was second in pole vault.
•Cassidy Graski was fifth in the triple jump.
•Lydia Lobacz was third in the shot put and Kayla Rasmussen was fifth.
Boys
•Brandon Geldernick won the 100 meter dash in 11.83.
•Geldernick and Dominic Sherwood took first and second in the 200-meter dash.
•Mason Gay won the 400 in 54.01.
•Colton Paczkowski took second in the 800 in 2:05.71 and won the 1600 in 4:44.67.
•The 4x200 relay team of Talon Mueller, Troy Sherwood, Nick Dambeck and Sam Wells took fourth.
•The 4x800 relay team took fifth: Talon Mueller, Steven Negron, Sam Wells and Malachi Frenette.
•Mason Gay won the high jump at 5-08.
•Sam Wells was third in the pole vault.
•Dominic Sherwood was second in the long jump.
•Sully Poehler won the shot put at 41-02 and was second in the discus.
