Owen-Withee Trackhawks deliver strong showing at Stanley-Boyd

The Owen-Withee Trackhawks turned in a series of standout performances Friday at the Stanley-Boyd Open, highlighted by a relay victory on the girls side and a distance win for the boys. Overall, the boys placed third with a team score of 100 while the girls placed fifth with a team score of 61.
As for individual events, the Blackhawk girls claimed first place in the 4x800 relay, the relay team of Leah Simenson, Tegan Hatlestad, Adelynn Petersen and Madi Mueller finishing in 10:56.20. Individually, Leah Simenson added a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles (17.79) and placed fourth in the 300 hurdles, while Petersen took second in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:51.74. The girls 4x400 relay team also contributed with a third-place finish in 4:33.86. Madi Mueller took third in the pole vault with a vault of 8-06.00, while Jozlin Sevareid placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 4-08.00.
On the boys side, Colton Paczkowski paced Owen-Withee with a first-place finish in the 3200 meter (10:51.12) and added a second-place effort in the 1600 (4:50.55). The 4x800 relay team of Steven Negron Gonzalez, Talon Mueller, Sam Wells, and Paczkowski also turned in a strong performance, placing second in 9:14.37.
Sprinter Brandon Geldernick delivered a solid meet, finishing third in the 100 meter (11.61) and second in the 200 (22.57), turning in first place finishes in the long jump with a mark of 19-11.25 as well as triple jump with 41-03.50,
The 4x200 relay team added a third-place finish in 1:46.37. Crandon Dallman tied for second in the Pole vault with a vault of 11-00.00, while Jordan Wulff placed seventh in the discus with a distance of 108-03.00.
