The Owen-Withee Cross Country team raced at the Division 3 WIAA Sectional on Saturday morning in Colby. Junior Colton Paczkowski qualified for the state cross country meet with his 6th place finish in a time of 17:17. Steven Negron-Gonzalez finished in 61st in a time of 20:13 and Connor Hanson finished in 98th in a time of 25:57. Nick Dambeck, injured earlier in the year, did not race. In the girls race, Adelynn Petersen finished 37th in a time of 23:28 and Riah Renderman finished 86th in a time of 26:53. While the 2024 season ended for five of our runners on Saturday, Colton’s season is extended one week to this coming Saturday. Colton will race in the Division 3 boys race at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
While the entire meet begins at Noon, Colton will race at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Congratulations and good luck to Colton this week and congratulations to the rest of the Hawks on their work and their steady improvements throughout the season.
