The Owen-Withee Lady Hawks closed their season at Altoona on Thursday, March 4, falling to Eleva-Strum with the score of 62-38.
The final brings the team’s overall record to 21-7 for the season. Owen-Withee Blackhawks girls varsity coach Josh Jalling reflected on the game and how things had gone.
“Tough way to end the season,” he said. “We ran into a team that was stronger and faster than us. That was a huge difference in the game. As we end our season, I want to thank the seniors on a terrific career! Three sectional appearances and one state appearance. Most athletes can only talk about those accomplishments. These girls achieved it.”
