The sky was clear, it was windy and temperatures started in the 50s but rose into the 60s as 10 exuberant golfers reported to the Meadowview Golf Course for the 23rd weekly Golf Fun League. The golf course was in great shape with leaves blown off the fairways and greens. Team captains assigned this week were Dennis Kieser, Rick Raatz and Scott Jalling. Other members were determined with the drawing of cards. The game format this week was the standard Scramble. In this Scramble format the best shot is selected throughout the round. The three teams reported to the clubhouse with scores of 31, 37 and 38. The winning team shooting the 31 consisted of Scott Jalling, John Goodale, Bill Chrostowski and Richard Wachsmuth. The hole prize, closest to the pin on hole #2 was won by Scott Jalling. The Fun League is a weekly event held at Meadowview Golf Course during the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, a different version of the Scramble format is played, ensuring that everyone gets a fresh and exciting experience. To participate, arrive early by 9:30 a.m. to sign up and be assigned to a team. Tee-off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Join us for a relaxed round of golf that promises to be both enjoyable and rewarding.
