The PSC is in the process of looking at a water rate increase for the Village of Withee. According to the application, the village requested an increase in revenues of $13,403 or 3.77 percent over present revenues. The village request a 6.3 percent return on rate base. Their last conventional rate case was in 2017. The reason given for the requested increase is an increase in operation and maintenance expenses to assist in meter replacement.
The PSC has not yet scheduled a hearing date. Documents in regard to the requested increase can be found at https://apps.psc.wi.gov. To view the documents, enter 6730-WR-102 in the Quick Single Docket Search box and select Documents.
The public will have the opportunity to offer an opinion on the increase in writing or in person at the public hearing.
