The Western Taylor County Public Library (WTCPL) located in Gilman is pleased to announce an exciting event to be presented on Monday, October 14th, "Fun with Trains: Full S.T.E.A.M Ahead!" If you like trains or model trains, this event is for you. It will be held at the library located at 380 E. Main St. in Gilman, in the Village Hall. The event will run from Noon to 6 p.m. This event is being sponsored by the Friends of WTCPL, and is open to all. Due to the extended time window of the event, it is our hope that both children and adults will attend. Join with Conductor Dave DeRemer and Train  Engineer Brad Wendt for a Lionel train demonstration, operate the model trains, play a STEAM quiz and more. For adults in the audience, Brad and Dave will share their experiences with collecting model trains and the electronics, wiring, and the ingenious ways Lionel made their engines, cars, and accessories work. Plan to join us on Monday, October 14th for this fun event.
