The Meadowview Golf Course had been experiencing standing water, wet fairways and difficult playing due to cloudy skies and rain which are common to a Wisconsin spring. But recent clearing and rising temperatures produced much improved course conditions. Soft fairways with greens in excellent condition were offered to 16 enthusiastic golfers that showed up for the first day of the Tuesday Fun League. Four matching by ability teams were formed through the drawing of cards. Teams went out with team members trying to shoot better than their average. With course conditions as they were, most golfers shot over their average. The winning team, shooting just 4 strokes over their average consisted of Kert Boie, Mary Meyer, John Boss and Buck Michlig. Hole prizes were won by Phil Beukema, closest to the pin on hole #2 and Buck Michlig, longest putt on hole #9. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the summer. Show up early, no later than 9:00 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 9:30. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
