The Meadowview Golf Course hosted the inaugural event of the weekly Tuesday Fun League on a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy day. Despite the chilly breeze and temperatures in the low to mid-40s, eight enthusiastic golfers arrived bundled up, ready to embrace the challenge. Four 2-person teams were formed through a card draw. Each pair participated in a scramble format, where all golfers took turns hitting each shot, and the best shot advanced. The competition was intense, with all teams demonstrating exceptional skill and scoring well. The winning pair, Dennis Wilson and LeRoy Wellman, achieved a remarkable score of 36, which was par. To add excitement to the event, hole prizes were awarded. Dennis Kieser received the prize for the longest putt on hole #9, while LeRoy Wellman was recognized for being closest to the pin off the tee on hole #2. The Fun League is an annual event held every Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, the competition will feature a different version of the Scramble format, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for all participants. Arrive early, no later than 9:30 a.m. to complete registration and team selection. Tee-off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Ladies and gentlemen, come and enjoy a low-stress round of golf that promises to be both enjoyable and rewarding.
