The skies were clear, wind calm and temperatures were in the upper 60s and low 70s when 16 excited golfers showed up and paid their $2 fee to compete for the coveted 1st place prize money. Team captains Mark Schmidt, Kert Boie, LeRoy Wellman and Dennis Wilson were chosen and by drawing cards, four matched teams were formed. The best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. The winning team shot a phenomenal 5 below par, 31 with the other teams also scoring well. The winning team consisted of captain Mark Schmidt and teammates Dale Raatz, Jack Wendler and Carol Raatz. Closest to the pin award on hole 2 went to Al Lulloff with Kert Boie and Gordie Schmidt making the longest putts on holes 4 and 9. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer.
