The day was sunny in the 60’s and 70’s but the golf course was extremely wet because of approximately 2” of rain from the previous day. 11 resolute golfers showed up, without waders, paid their $2 fee and played through the very wet conditions. Team captains Mark Schmidt, LeRoy Wellman and Dennis Wilson were chosen and by drawing cards, three matched teams were formed. Because of the wet conditions, the best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. The winning team shot 2 below par, 34 with the other teams also scoring well. The winning team consisted of captain Mark Schmidt and teammates Dennis Kieser, Carol Raatz and Richard Wachsmuth. Closest to the pin awards on holes 2 and 6 went to Larry Empey and Richard Wachsmuth. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer. If interested, show up before or by 9:45 for check in.
